Welcome to Principal

Principal is a private client portfolio management company with an established reputation for professionalism and personal service.

Founded over 20 years ago, we now employ around 90 people in our offices in Sevenoaks, London and Bath. In March 2008 we became a member of the Sanlam Group, a leading South African financial services business.

We specialise in discretionary portfolio management for private individuals, family trusts and smaller corporate clients.

This service is ideal for clients who wish to hand over the day-to-day responsibility for their investments to an expert.

• Principal is delighted to continue its partnership with the Personal Finance Society by sponsoring their one-day conferences, entitled ‘Investment Advice for a Fragile Economy’. These events have been designed to help financial advisers get the latest thinking and market views from industry specialists. Principal was delighted to co-host such well attended and interesting events. We continue to work closely with the PFS and so please check the website for more information in the future.
  
  
• Principal's runners raise £3,400 following the Bath Half Marathon, which was generously matched by Principal making a fantastic total of £6,800. Principal has raised over £22,000 over the 4 Bath Half Marathon events, enabling them to support various charities including Bath Cancer Unit and Hospice in the Weald, as well as Help for Heroes.

• Principal is delighted to announce the appointment of our new CIO, Stephen Jones. Stephen joins us from Gartmore Investment
  Management where he was Head of European Equities and previously served as a board director. Prior to joining Gartmore, Stephen worked for the Prudential Group, including 7 years as a fund manager.
