Data Protection

Principal Investment Management (or its associated companies) may collect personal data about its customers and their investment requirements. This data will be used to provide investment services and for business development and trend analysis purposes.

Any data we hold will be processed in accordance with the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998. This means that, amongst other things, data will be processed lawfully and fairly. The information will be kept up-to-date and accurate and will not be held for longer than is necessary. It will be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people.

We may share personal data to agents or sub-contractors so that they can provide a service to us, on condition that they keep the data confidential. We may also share personal data with other financial services firms for the purpose of money laundering verification checks.

We will not provide or sell personal data to third parties other than as set out above or unless permitted by law or for the purposes of effecting an investment transaction.

Unless a customer has opted out, we may also use personal data to tell them about our products and services which we think may be of interest. If a customer does not wish to receive such information, they can write to us at the address below, quoting their full name and client account number, if applicable.

Under the Data Protection Act, an individual may request a copy of the data that we hold about them. We reserve the right to charge a fee of £10 for providing this information.
